ooomygawd, the weather forecast changed overnight and rain was promised for all of Saturday. We were expecting acquaintances for the big show, but knew they wouldn't be there. Mary and I waited on the weather until 9 am, but there was nothing more than fog (as seen in the last photo). So, we went to the ARTsPLACE, gave very brief attention to the colourful rags on the walls, noted where we would be painting and left for the Fort Anne property. Ruth dropped us off there and then took the car for a tour of nearby Digby. Within five minutes our work surfaces were dotted with rain drops. Rain gear...pack up...walk Mary to ARTsPLACE where she continued to work from a photo. I repositioned myself on the front porch of the B&B which was only a half block away and tried to imagine sunny skies as I laboured away on a painting of a cast iron turnstile to the cemetary at Fort Anne. I would have painted flowers but a Scotch mist persisted through the day.
