This 2ftx2ft acrylic on canvas is now about half way to completion, which explains why real paintings can't be priced to compete with Iris Prints. This type of fine art is completely anachronistic but I haven't had any patronage in support of my less tedious efforts!I expect there will always be some market for hand-crafted work and that it will rise in value as good examples become less common. From my perspective, based on four decades of work, paintings of lasting value are already on the wane. I expect homes of the future will be decorated by something like crystal matrix screens displaying an ever-changing parade of new photographic images and digital art.

Already web-weaving mavens are saying: "Content around images and the overall page text must be relevant to the image..." As has been said, "A picture is worth a thousand words which is why blog messages should not really exceed three paragraphs.
