The PIcton Castle was scheduled to leave

last Tuesday, but was delayed when Canadian officials from Transport Canada and their counterparts from the Cook Islands came to Lunenburg, May 14 to give her a safety inspection. No deficiences were found at that time, but the group announced that it would return May 20 to inspect the barque's man-overboard rescue boat system, part of which is seen in action at left. This craft carries some Lunenburg built pinkies thus the test with this traditional open boat.
