Authentic Folk Art

A recurrent sign of Spring in Lunenburg is the emergence of carvings like this in a local store window at Income Tax Time.

These carvings will never make it to the shelves of the Nova Scotian folk art collectors, and their prices at $5 to $10 reflect the expectations of the carver/painter. So much "art" is profit-driven it makes one's head spin. Folks, this is the real thing.
